COVID-19 Resource Center

The purpose of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Fund is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impacts of COVID-19 on the nation’s students by addressing students’ academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. Northern Cass Public Schools has developed its Reopening Plan in compliance with receiving ARP ESSER funds. Following the 2020-2021 plan, as of June 1, 2021 Northern Cass Public Schools will operate in the ‘Blue’. If circumstances arise and lead to recommendations for mitigation strategies for the 2021-2022 school year, the administration will notify the Board of Education at that time and seek approval, as necessary.

During the period of the ARP ESSER award (until September 2024), Northern Cass Public Schools will periodically review and revise, as needed, its plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services. The plan will be reviewed at least every six months, and Northern Cass Public Schools will seek and consider public input during the review process.
