DIRECTOR OF GROUNDS & TRANSPORTATION
Northern Cass is looking for a DIRECTOR OF GROUNDS AND TRANSPORTATION
Qualifications: Experience and credentials in auto and diesel mechanics. Individual must have knowledge to perform general and extensive maintenance on school buses and vehicles. Active Passenger, Air Brake, and School Bus drivers license endorsements to assist with driving a bus route.
Reports to: Superintendent or their designee.
Function: This position will be under the direct supervision of the superintendent of the district. Specific duties will be assigned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The mechanic will exhibit pride in the appearance of grounds, facilities, buses, and school vehicles. This is an employment at-will position. Dismissal of employment will be determined by the superintendent and can be administered at any time.
Major Duties Assigned:
1. General and preventative maintenance of all buses and school vehicles.
2. Major repair and maintenance of school buses and vehicles, and equipment.
3. Continuous upkeep and cleanliness of the bus barn. Including but not limited to the attached
restrooms, concessions, and garages.
4. Communication with bus drivers involving upkeep, safety, and preventative maintenance.
5. Scheduling of major repairs for buses and school vehicles as needed.
6. Communication with the superintendent on major repairs, equipment, and future planning.
7. Assist building custodians with major repairs, building projects, and general custodial duties as needed.
8. Communication with the superintendent on major purchases.
9. Submit all invoices and receipts to the Business Manager weekly.
10. Collect and turn in all bus driver timesheets and mileage reports to the Business Manager for payroll processing.
11. Attend all bus driver meetings as set up by the superintendent.
12. Attend all Building & Grounds committee meetings to provide a report to board members.
13. Attend all other meetings as directed by the superintendent.
14. Create all Bus Routes and manage changes as needed during the school year.
15. Find substitute bus drivers.
Other Duties Assigned:
1. Supervise summer help with mowing and general upkeep of the grounds.
2. Snow removal before, during, and after school as needed and/or directed.
3. Watering, mowing, and spraying all grounds.
4. Baseball, Softball, Football, and Practice field.
5. Schedule sprinkler usage and winterize system.
6. Schedule portable restrooms for outdoor athletic seasons (spring through fall).
7. Recognize work that needs to be done and take initiative to complete it.
8. Abide by all district policies as well as procedures and routines which have been established by the Board of Education and administration of the Northern Cass School District.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT COOK

BUS DRIVER
Northern Cass School District is seeking a Bus Driver for the 25-26 school year and beyond.
Bus drivers are paid $28.50 per hour for CDL and are guaranteed four hours per day (am and pm) as we simply need to increase our number of highly qualified drivers.
