Mrs. Walter

  • Mrs. Walter comes from a teensy little town called Cresbard, SD (45ish miles southwest of Aberdeen). After graduating from Cresbard High School with 9 people in her graduating class, she chose to move north to Fargo where there were actually people she didn’t know. Mrs. Walter went to NDSU thinking she’d become a veterinarian, realized she couldn’t handle thermodynamics or organic chemistry, so she eventually switched her major to Spanish, intending to become a court translator/interpreter. After graduating collage in 2010, she worked for a year and a half for Swanson Health Products running their Spanish customer service desk, and soon realized that she needed a more rewarding job in which she felt like she was making a difference in the world. Mrs. Walter went back to NDSU for English and Spanish Education in 2012 and graduated in 2014. Somewhere in between everything, she found her husband while working in a restaurant in 2008 and had a child right before getting hired at Northern Cass to teach Spanish and ELL in 2015. Life hasn’t been the same since; she never dreamed it could be so good!

Mrs. Walter's hobbies include gardening, pinning things on Pinterest that she will never do, playing co-ed softball, chasing (and, occasionally, fleeing from) a toddler, reading, baking, and binge-watching TV shows on Netflix with her husband.
