Mrs. Breiland's whole life has been lived in this wonderful 80-mile stretch of the Red River Valley! She grew up in Grand Forks, ND, has extended family in Reynolds, has lived in Fargo since 2009, and now teaches in Hunter. After graduating from Minnesota State University Moorhead, she got her first teaching job at Northern Cass and has been here ever since. This is her fifth year at NC, where she has taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade English as well as 7th grade and 8th grade reading, high school reading, and yearbook. Currently, she teaches English 7, English 8, and Reading 8. She is also the director of the one act play, a member of the staff leadership team, and an advanced Nurtured Heart trainer at Northern Cass. In August 2017, Mrs. Breiland earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership from North Dakota State University and the Northern Cass Teacher Leadership Academy.
In their spare time, Mrs. Breiland and her husband, Matt (an ag researcher at NDSU) love to travel, camp, watch Netflix, read, cheer on NDSU football games and UND hockey games, and spend time with friends and family. They are both avid learners who love to go to museums, try new cuisines, and visit new places. In August 2017, the Breilands welcomed twins, Theo and Rose, into their family. The twins are already excited to cheer on the Jaguars!
