• Activities Director/Dean of Learners

    Northern Cass is a progressive Class 'B' school with approximately 640 students in PK-12. The district was reorganized in 1997.
    The school is located on Highway 26 in the middle of the district not within one of the communities. It serves the communities of
    Argusville, Arthur, Hunter, Gardner, Grandin, and Erie. The district’s current open enrollment is 30% of the school’s population.
    Students have chosen Northern Cass from a variety of other districts including, but not limited to:  West Fargo, Fargo, Hope-Page,
    Mayville, Central Cass, and Hillsboro.

    this goal, the district must commit to an innovative approach to education.  Northern Cass will start its Jaguar Academy as the
    first step in moving to mass customized learning in our district which will go into effect PK-12 in the 2020-21 school year.

    The salary range for the position is between $65,000 and $85,000 depending on experience.  The candidate will receive
    full family health insurance, both sides of TFFR are paid, disability insurance is paid, and cell phone is paid for by the district.
    This is a 220 day contract and you are given credit for time spent supervising varsity activities.


    Applicants must meet the general qualifications of a teacher and minimum requirements as set by the Department of Public
    Instruction (DPI) and Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB).  Applicants with a Master’s Degree in Education or
    Educational Leadership will be given preference.


    The major responsibilities of the high school principal shall include, but not be limited to:
    The Activities Director job duties will include (but not limited to):

    • Scheduling of all activities
    • Professional development for coaches/advisors
    • Supervision of activities
    • Attend board meetings and provide updates on activities
    • Set a vision for activities which links to the strategic plan of the district
    • Recruit, hire, and evaluate coaches/advisors
    • Act as a liaison to the booster club
    • Communicate with stakeholders

    The Dean of Learners job duties would include (but not limited to):

    • Emergency & Safety Management with School Resource Deputy
    • Non-Certified Staff Supervision
    • Student Services (K-12) with the Elementary and Secondary Principal

    Elementary Special Education Teacher

    Rural Cass Multi-District Special Education Unit and Northern Cass School District are seeking a special education teacher
    for elementary for the 2019-2020 school year.  Applicants must meet the requirements set by DPI and ESPB or be willing to
    work on a plan for obtaining the appropriate credentials.  Rural Cass will consider paying fully for the applicant to earn
    their degree

    Applicants would need to facilitate IEP meetings and evaluation meetings, administer assessments to determine eligibility
    for special education. Provide direct, indirect and consultative services to students identified with learning disabilities.
    Applicants should have good written and verbal communication skills as well as be able to work as a productive team member
    in the special education process.

    Reading Corps Tutor

    Northern Cass Elementary is seeking a part-time Reading Corps tutor to work with Kindergarten through 3rd grade
    students who need extra support learning to read for the 2019-20 school year. Reading Corps tutors work one on one
    with a caseload of students for 20 minute sessions each on a set daily schedule. This part-time AmeriCorps position
    requires a commitment for the entire school year August to May, 5 days a week. Tutors work during the school day
    while school is in session. Reduced Half Time (4 hours a day) with a monthly stipend of $620 and an education award
    of $2,321. The program provides a monthly stipends in lieu of an hourly wage. The education award can be used for
    college tuition and current student loans. Tutors who are 55 or older may choose to transfer their education award to
    a child, grandchild or foster child.
